World Industries

World Industries is a skateboarding company. They supply all parts and accessories needed for skateboarding, along with snowboards and apparel. World Industries was founded in 1987 by Steve Rocco; in 1989 skates Rodney Mullen and Mike Vallely joined Steve. In 1991 a partnership was created, and the company Plan B was born. Plan B brought great success for the company, along with name recognition. However, in 1994 Plan B broke away from its partnership with World Industris. After enjoying early success World Industries has expanded their market by creating additional brands, brands such as Almost Skateboards, Darkstar, and Speed Demons. Their whole company has skateboarding in its roots. Since 2002 the company has been sold twice and is now owned by i.e. Distribution. Although having been sold, the goal of the company still remains, to provide high quality skate products. Skateboarding is part of the lives of the people who work at World Industries. They are able to provide what their customers need, because they know how there products work, simply because of the fact that they use them.
