What is a Water Bottle?

A water bottle is used for storing drinking water for individual use and or retail sale. Bottled water comes with different types of water per choice of the buyer, as well as plastics. Water bottles are good for storage, as well as on-the-go drinks.

How does a water Bottle work?

water bottles are plastic tube shaped bottles that hold different amounts of water. The bottles are generally designed for different uses and grips. Water bottles are sealed with a screw on cap or a sport type top that either pops up or comes off yet stays connected to the bottle.

Water Bottle Diagram:

Screw on Cap or Lid - A Plastic cap that screws onto the bottle itself. This is done to seal the top of the bottle and keep all the water in.
Plastic Seal - Some bottles have a seal which insures the buyer that the bottle has not been opened and therefore not been used.
Plastic Bottle - The bottle itself is typically made of plastic and depending on the bottle the plastic can be different.
Unique Grip - The grips on the bottle are uniquely designed for certain uses. For example, there are bottles designed for sport use, general bottles that are used for everyday activities, etc. Most water bottles have a unique grip patern based upon use, type or brand.

Selecting a water bottle:

Water bottles are designed in numerous different ways to aid in different activities. When selecting a water bottle, keep in mind what you are doing, what the chances are that water can be obtained where you are, and how you plan on holding and storing the bottle itself.

Types of Water Bottles:

Generic water bottles are plastic disposable water bottles, like Arrowhead water or Kirkland water. These are cheaper to buy and generally come in large bulk packs. The other type of water bottles consist of those which are bought individually and typically washable and reusable. These water bottles are more fashionable and come in designs and colors that can appeal to the buyer. These water bottles usually contain more features than the generic plastic water bottle.

Types of water bottle materials:

Water bottles can be made from many different types of plastics; unfortunately, there are too many types of plastics to narrow it down to a generic type which is mostly used. Read our How to Know Your Plastics guide and or view the chart below to view common water bottle plastics.
