How To Fill A Butane Lighter

How to fill a butane lighter.

Butane lighters are typically considered refillable lighters which are filled with Butane pressurised gas. To fill a butane lighter you need refillable butane gas.

Locating the lighter fill point.

When you are ready to fill up the lighter turn it over and you will see a small hole on the bottom. This is where the gas gets inserted into the lighter. 

Butane can positioning.

Shake the can of gas, turn it upside down and insert it into the small hole.  

Inserting bottle into lighter.

Push down on the can and up on the lighter. You will hear the gas going into the lighter. There is no real way to tell if you have filled up the lighter with the gas. Fill it up to your own personal preference. If the lighter does not light or starts to run low, refill. Once you have filled the lighter wait a few minutes before you light the lighter. This is a safety precaution in case gas went around the lighter.
