Camp Chef GCLOG Gas Fire Ring

This is my second gas fire ring from Camp Chef. I bought this one as a "back up" and a "grab and go" if I need it for a party or gathering at another family or friends house. The one I have that's older I left outdoors through the winter and it rusted. It still works fine and the valve is perfect. But just in case I have this new one to take it's place. I put rocks around it and it looks just like a real camp fire. The flames are much higher than the photos depict. WHen you first light it the flames appear blue but once the lava rocks get red hot the flames are a perfect yellow. The heat this thing puts out is amazing (once the lava rocks are red hot). Plan on moving back a little bit once it really gets going. The best thing about this is NO SMOKE. A lot of towns have rules banning firepits because of the smoke complaints. This solves that problem. A quick ride to the hardware store for a longer gas line solved my slight worry of sitting next to a propane tank, Heavy use with a 20 pound propane tank will get you three days. That's a little over $5.00 dollars a day for a nice relaxing fire. Not bad in my opinion. Just remember to pack it up for the winter and keep it covered when not in use! [...] Thank you!
