I bought it because when camping I prefer equipment that is not breakable, unlike the "glass french press" and we are not plugged in to a campground. We recycled/reuse,and this press will fit most coffee pots, a bit clumsy to start but easy after a time or two and you can even attach a cordless drill for super speed.

This grinder is basically worthless in my opinion. I would rather pre-grind my beans than use this (which for me, is a huge no-no; yes, that bad). Why? First, it's pretty darn hard to use. If you don't have it inserted in a perfectly fitting French Press pot, then it's darn hard to hold on to and grind in such a way that you can efficiently grind. Even on a French Press pot, it's still hard to use. I grind for moka pot, which is fairly fine - just a little courser than espresso. For a tiny 3-cup moka pot, which probably needs about 4 tablespoons of grounds, it probably took me 5+ minutes grind, and that was uncomfortable grinding. A friend who uses French Press borrowed it and didn't like it either. He said it took him over 3 minutes to grind for a standard 8-cup press pot, and he had it set on top of a press.

The reality is that this is a great idea, and I had high hopes for using this when I traveled (I bring my moka pot and grinder, etc. when I travel if possible) or went camping or what not. This just won't cut it. It's too painful to use. I would look for a better hand/manual/box grinder as an alternative, or, unfortunately, pre-grind.
