Kershaw 1660CB Ken Onion Leek, Stainless Steel Handle, Plain Blade

I have been carrying some form of Leek for the past 5+ years, its simply a great knife. This version not only performs well but looks amazing, the blade is really unique, holds and edge well and comes with me just about everywhere I go.

I previously owned a Rainbow Leek, which was a perfect small and pretty knife that did not scare sheeple when I pulled it out to use for daily tasks, and indeed gained interest with it's colours and speed-assist action. I gave it to a girlfriend as a gift after years, and missed it ever since. Now this one, same model but of god-like materials is in my hands... It's incredible. Sharp as a razor and needle pointed out of the box, and I expect the D-2 to never need a touch-up. You viewers on the net can't see it, because it's less than pixel-thin, but there is indeed a copper "layer" between the two steels, very sexy. I assume it's something to do with a safety feature of a possible temperature-expansion/contraction issue between the two differing alloys. (Don't quote that!) The pattern that you see on the net between the two alloys of the blade is "exactly" what you get, not a random set of striations that would vary from one to the next knife; It must be some sort of "set mold". As all Leeks, it's a little on the small side if you are a man with larger hands, but it doesn't scare people, and it's one-handed, in-and-out and open-and-closed/put away in a heartbeat; A lot of the time, nobody realizes that you even had a knife, before it's back in your pocket. This little gem is a piece of history, it's not something any knife collector should skip. I will add another review as I use it at work for various light utility tasks, and let you know about it's edge holding. But I can already feel on my finger tips that the factory edge is sharper than any 440c or even Sandvik blades I have. I'll let you know...
