I'm not a cook, in fact if most cases if it wasn't for fast food I'd starve. What I am is a peace officer, a former Military Policeman and outdoorsmen/survivalist. I know a collect knives and this simple plastic tool is both a time save and possibly could be a life saver too!
With a few strokes over a knife blade, you'll have an edge you can do surgery with. If your knife is flat dull, it'll take longer but the same results. It made by the same people that make Swiss Army Knives, so you know they know blades. My wife loves it for house knives, I love for my hunting and pocket knives.
The only "Con" I could say is if you have an exotic blade or one with a long cured clip point, you'll have a little trouble sharping from the curve to the point.
For the price here, you can't beat it! I plan to buy more and keep one in my car and earthquake kits!

I bought this knife sharpener based on Cook's recommendation - It was even better than I expected, had i known how well it was going to work, i would not have also bought a chef's knife.
Ease of use is great and does exactly what it says. It is the best money i have spent in awhile.
